Harry potter shelf decor6/23/2023 View his Hawaiin-Themed nursery here and Miller’s adorable, feminine nursery here. If you are currently shopping for children’s furniture or items for a nursery, I recommend going with items from Delta Children! All of the furniture we used in Callen’s nursery is also from Delta. The Delta Children® Remy 4-Drawer Chest in Bianca White has been the perfect addition! Miller also has a lot of clothes, so we needed a dresser that would fit in a smaller bedroom but also have drawers deep enough to hold all of her things. Highly suggest grabbing these for your own child’s transition. To keep her from falling off when we moved her from a crib to a big girl bed, we bought these amazing Delta Foam Bedrail Bumpers. My kids have always used Delta Children mattresses since birth, so we have a Delta foam twin mattress on her bed now. This canopy bed does not need a boxspring. We have the Bianca White color but the frame also comes in Blush, Gray, and Black. It was easy to assemble and we have had it for a year now and it still looks brand new. She just crawls to the end of the bed and grabs books at night before bed and in the morning before she wakes. It is so pretty and I love all the book storage. I think it just wouldn’t be the same without her amazing Delta Children Poppy House Wood Twin Bed, Platform Bed. You can pick from a wide range of patterns or quotes that will add mystery and magic to any space. The centerpieces of her room are (and always have been) her Delta Children furniture. Another excellent option if you want less childish Harry Potter décor is wall decals. A poster will incorporate Harry Potter style into your room but won't look out of place with other furniture and décor. A good example of this is a minimalist poster, which Katie Ridder suggests placing above your bed or dresser. If you don't want a childish look in your room, look for more abstract pieces, as these will be less obvious than movie posters whilst still nodding to your love for the franchise. Harry Potter is for everyone, but some room décor pieces are better suited to children than adults. In this case, it's best to stick with posters and other small décor items like trinkets. Bright red bedding in a Gryffindor style may look cool, but it could be difficult to wash and keep looking good over time. A themed room is also more high maintenance depending on the materials and colors chosen. A themed bedroom is great, but you'll have to commit to the theme with everything from furniture to accessories, meaning it isn't the best idea if you like to change your decor up often. Because of this, you can make a statement with over-the-top items or stick to a casual style. Style of Décor:Īs stated by Nick Olsen, room décor can be anything from posters and wall decals to bedding and cushions. As for bedding, a blanket or a handful of themed cushions will nod to Harry Potter without being in your face. Alternatively, if you have a much bigger area to work with, a decal spanning the length of your wall space will instantly create a Harry Potter vibe even in a neutrally decorated room. The more wall space visible, the larger a room can look. Posters usually range from 18x24 inches up to 27x40 inches. This will help to make your room appear spacious and welcoming - even themed bedrooms should be a place where you can chill and feel relaxed. Room décor can transform a space but making sure the décor is the right size is vital. Rugs come in many sizes, too, so you can customize them to fit an existing space. If you want to keep a room relatively neutral, a rug decorated with one of the four houses is a great option to incorporate a Harry Potter theme. However, if you know what you want, don't let this rule hold you back. Even a frame hung above a desk can be on theme. A few Harry Potter themed bookends are easier to fit in with a room than a full bedding set. When decorating a room, Joy Moyler recommends starting with small details and building up your collection over time. The world of Harry Potter is vast, which can make things feel disarming when you're trying to pick out room décor.
